These Pirates are first encountered in lower Norfair when beginning to approach Ridley’s lair. They are very fast and athletic wall climbers, making them particularly suited for dangerous reconnaissance activities throughout Norfair’s largest caverns.

These Zebesians are quite dangerous, so try to dodge them at all costs. While they can be slowly damaged by Missiles, Power Bombs, or Charge Beam shots (two shots using the Plasma Beam), Screw Attack is the preferred method. If the Screw Attack ability hasn’t been acquired yet, it’s probably best to turn back and try to find it in the nearby area.
