A large eyeball creature that protects the entry of a boss’s lair. The Gadora is a creation of the Space Pirates, who use it as a warning of intruders. Though the Gadora only has one eye, it can still view depth quite well, and even has telescopic vision. Its eye has an extremely wide field of view, allowing it to see well beyond 180° with perfect clarity. Mother Brain can tap into a Gadora telepathically and view the room it is surveying, giving her ample time to warn the boss of an oncoming threat.

This creature is the warning sign before you fight any of the 6 major bosses in the game. Gadora is easily dispatched with a single Super Missile when it opens its eye. If you want to conserve your Super Missile ammo, you can also use 3 normal Missiles to destroy it. The only down side is you have to wait for a moment it to reopen its eye. Be careful though, sometimes a Gadora will shoot ring-beams at you.

The Gadora seems to infect its surrounding environment with some kind of spiky overgrowth. It is not harmful to touch, though.
