A small, crustacean-like organism with large eyeballs. It has evolved the muscles that hold its eyeballs to extend very far from its body, giving it full, 360° vision. They also do not seem to have any visible oral cavity or oral appendages, so it is unknown how they are able to feed. The Zeela is a very dexterous creature, and can walk along any surface, even the ceiling. Zeelas like to live in the overgrown, vegetative areas of Brinstar. They pose little threat and only serve the purpose of getting in Samus's way.

Zeelas are very similar to a Geemer, and just about as weak. Normal shots can easily take them out.

Zeelas were originally native to Kraid's Lair, but were placed into Brinstar in Super.
