Summary
Announced at E3 in June of 2021, Metroid Dread is the long-rumored sequel to Metroid Fusion, also known as Metroid 5. Samus tracks footage of the X parasite to the mysterious planet ZDR, where she is met with an incredibly powerful armored Chozo upon landing. Samus loses the battle after being stripped of her powers, and is taken to the lowest area on the planet. As she makes her way back to her ship, Samus is also relentlessly hunted by nearly invincible, intelligent robots known as E.M.M.I., who will immediately kill her if she’s caught. There was a 19-year release gap between Fusion and Dread.

Unlockable Art Gallery Requirements
Dread has two unlockable art galleries: Chozo Archives, and Ending Rewards
Chozo Archives
The more items you acquire, the more images unlock in this gallery. Acquiring 100% of the items (either difficulty mode) will unlock all of the images.
Ending Rewards
All of these images are completion time-based.
Normal Mode:
- Metroid Zero Mission: 8+ Hours
- Metroid Samus Returns: 4 – 8 Hours
- Super Metroid: < 4 Hours
Hard Mode:
- Metroid Other M: 8+ Hours
- Metroid Fusion: 4 – 8 Hours
- Metroid Dread: < 4 Hours
If you beat it under a certain time you will get all the other ones above that time. For example, if I played the game on normal and beat it in under 8 hours, I’d unlock both the Samus Returns image and the Zero Mission image. They are game mode specific.
There are also two bonus images to unlock which are revealed when all the other requirements are completed, which shows a large selection of all the characters from the series (non-Prime) history. One has suited Samus and one has Zero Suit Samus.
