Violas are the larval form of Multiviolas. Unlike the adults, which can fly and bounce around the cavern walls, the blue-colored Violas are limited to traveling around select rocky surfaces in Norfair.

Violas are much easier to kill than Multiviolas, as they are restricted to moving around platforms. They can be eliminated with any beam weapons or missiles.

Violas continuously transition from what resembles a sad to an angry face.
