Sidehopper (Teal)

The teal-colored variant of the Sidehopper species. Its hard carapace is extremely dense and can withstand any explosive blasts and weaponry. Although it is unknown why this variant only appears once in Tourian, theories point to it being a genetically modified by the Space Pirate legion. The Sidehopper is met in the same chamber as the Super Metroid, likely placed there for feeding.
The creature is invulnerable to all of Samus's available weaponry, and exists to show that its strength and power is no match for the Super Metroid in the game's epic conclusive level. Only three exist in the entire game.
