A large flightless bird that makes up for this fact with its abnormal running and jumping abilities. The Dachora is found in a hidden tunnel in Zebes. She can run at absolutely bone-crushing speeds up to 200MPH. The Dachora is able to channel the kinetic energy created from running and use it to boost herself extremely fast through the air. Samus was able to replicate this method, which is called the Shinespark.

The Dachora cannot be harmed. Replicating her movements (running with Speed Booster until you see blue echoes, then kneeling and jumping) teaches Samus how to do the Shinespark technique.

If you can time it right, doing the Shinespark a moment before the Dachora does, you can blast through the blocks and the Dachora follows you through. This causes the Dachora to be “freed” and not confined to the tunnel and shaft.
