This mutation of a well-known Zebes creature has adapted to live in a more tropical climate. The Desgeega-X can be found in TRO, and seems to have taken on a more herbiferous appearance. Desgeegas are usually seen within extremely hot, volcanic areas, so the X-parasite along with BSL DNA tampering may be to blame. It can now shoot out flames from the bottom of its feet when it jumps, as well as the ability to expel the thorns from its legs.
The X-version of a Desgeega poses little threat. Take them out with Charged Beam shots and collect the X-parasite rewards. Try to avoid the thorns that they shoot out of their legs; they can be destroyed before they even have a chance to shoot them.
The Desgeega's projectile leg thorns are similar to a Cacatac, and could possibly imply that they share the same DNA.
