These are the result of an X which has merged with a slime creature of unknown origin and came in contact with humans. After the outbreak, the scientists and researchers of the B.S.L. station were horribly transformed into these creatures, which are now little more than soul-less monsters of purple blobby goo, looking to attack anything that moves. They cannot be destroyed; only temporarily stunned back into impotent puddles.

The creature will take on a basic humanoid shape when trying to attack, which is done by slowly lumbering along the ground like a zombie. Fortunately, they pose very little threat. Shoot them with a basic Power Beam to transform them back into a puddle and collect your X reward.
