Metroid Database Bestiary

A floating amoeba-like creature that can combine multiple versions together to enlarge its size. It will hover over top of its prey and slowly drain the life force until it is completely dead. The prey does not feel any pain while this occurs, so it's potentially a very dangerous creature.

Easy to kill - just use normal beam shots. When they die, the X that remain will form together to make an even larger form. This can be enlarged up to 4 times bigger than its original size, which can drain your health quite quickly, so be careful to not let it linger on you for too long.
