These large creatures often creep around dark or hidden sections of the B.S.L station by navigating through crawlspaces up in the ceiling or between consecutive floors. Their strong limbs and hands make them well suited for crawling, and while they feature notable fangs, the real danger comes from their caustic saliva. They can secrete large volumes, and will try to drool over the side of the platform beams and onto victims below.

Geneses often prowl in groups, so be careful when traveling underneath them. Unless there is a locked door in the room that impedes your progress, they aren’t worth killing, so just run past. They can be killed by shooting them through the platforms with Wave Beam functionality or by using two Power Bombs. In areas of Sector 1, the X parasites from the defeated Geneses will often transform into yellow-colored Zebesians, so stay alert.

Genesis has a very Alien-inspired design. The name comes from a romanization of "Jeneshisu" taken from the Official Japanese Strategy Guide.
