A gastropod with claws and an aggressive demeanor. Yards are for the most part, harmless. They are found in Maridia. Like snails, these creatures can climb anywhere. However, very much unlike snails, Yards can move extremely quickly. When Samus touches or shoots them, they will roll into their shells, which they use for protection. They are only vulnerable to explosive blasts.
Destroy them with a Bomb or Power Bomb if you like, but it's much more fun to shoot them and kick them around. You can also Speed Boost through them.
Yards make little clink noises when they bounce around after being kicked.
