Mother Brain has been resurrected. In the center of Tourian, the rebuilt Space Pirate base on Planet Zebes, Mother Brain rests in a thick transparent container. She is an extremely powerful bio-mechanical computer, and able to telepathically control all of the Zebesians on the planet, as well as the four bosses, Kraid, Draygon, Phantoon, and Ridley. She plans to use Metroids to do her bidding and use them to take over the universe. It is up to Samus to infiltrate the base and stop Mother Brain once and for all!
Mother Brain's room is very similar to the first time Samus fought her on Zebes. After destroying the Zebetites and dodging Rinkas, you must break open the container she is in. Mother Brain will not directly attack you; you must just avoid the oncoming Rinkas and turrets. Simply shoot the container with missiles to crack it open, and then continue to pummel her until the next battle begins.
In the destroyed, former lair of Mother Brain located in lower Crateria, if you return to this area once you have collected Power Bombs, you can access a secret hidden area below Mother Brain's tank that contains a Missile Container. Did this area contain a "backup" of Mother Brain?
