The Ramulken is a heavily-armored crustacean-like monster living in the darkest depths of SR388. Ramulken leap onto their prey and use their legs to trap their prey within their spindly legs and their sharp beak can rip them apart. A large single eye sees in infrared. The Ramulken’s thick chitinous exoskeleton makes it impervious to any attack, leaving it near the top of SR388’s food chain.

The Ramulken cannot be damaged with beams or missiles when attacked from the side or top; its weak point is its underbelly. However, since this is extremely to hit, it is best to just use Screw Attack or avoid it altogether. Ramulken drop large missiles, making them one of the few ways to refill while fighting the Omega Metroids.

The Japanese name is “Ramuki” (ラムキ).
