A small, one-eyed flying creature with "fingers" that are sharp as knives. The strange thing about the Seerook is that it doesn't use its "wings" to maintain flight; it achieves this hovering ability by an unknown means. Seerooks can widen their mouths to completely consume their prey, but it has no throat or stomach. It must then rely on its saliva and digestive juices to break down its food before it can absorb the nourishment into its body.

Similar to the Yumbo, Mumbo, Pincherfly, and TPO, they just fly back and forth. They are quite weak, and only serve as obstacles getting in Samus's way. A single shot from the Normal Beam will take them out.

The North American instruction manual erroneously states the Seerook "Moves back and forth on the ground," when it is an aerial enemy.
