Large transparent amoeba-like organism found in the sandy caves of Ruins Area 3. Although it is rare for single-celled organisms to grow large in size due to their surface area-to-volume ratio, the Meboid is titanic at roughly half a meter in length. The Meboid has evolved a thick cellular wall to to protect against the elements and engulf smaller organisms before breaking them down with powerful enzymes.

The Meboid simply flies back and forth and is identical to the Yumbo, Mumbo, TPO, and Pincher Fly. Can be destroyed with any Beam. Relatively harmless. Leaves behind a Small Energy Ball.

The Meboid’s Japanese name is “Mebo” (ミボ). The Japanese manual specifically refers to it as a “single-celled organism”, although the largest known single-celled organisms, such as the Ventricaria ventricosa, or “bubble algae”, can reach a size of 5 centimeters in diameter.
