Blob Thrower
- Planet
- SR388
- Region
- Ruins II
This large flower-like creature burrows its roots deep into the ground and even through dense stone. The roots both anchor the Blob Thrower and allow it to absorb nutrients from the soil. Blob Throwers will periodically stretch into the air and release a cloud of blob-like spores. Though most will settle near the parent, the spores are known to travel long-distances. The spores are protected by a caustic slime that protects them from predators and helps them burrow into the ground. Blob Throwers are also known to catch Pincherflies and other small creatures that are attracted to its flower-like stem.
The Blob Thrower stretches high into the air, then spits out a cloud of spores, making it difficult to jump over. The best tactic is to shoot it from a distance. There are only two in the game.
The Japanese name is “Flazo†(フラゾ) or “Frazzâ€. The Japanese manual states, “This plant-like creature burrows its roots into the ground and scatters its spores.â€
