A Stone Toad is able to remain still for days. It preys upon creatures smaller than itself, inhaling them whole. Anything it finds undigestable, it regurgitates. Stone Toads use their tusks as a last resort in combat.
After you are inhaled, simply lay a Bomb to explode them from within. If you do nothing, they will spit you back out.
Stone Toads are mostly docile and hardly a threat, but they have a dual purpose. They can gobble you up while in Morph Ball, but they also inhale you inward while using the ramps in the Reflecting Pool room in Chozo Ruins. This allows you to reach the higher floor in the room and access the Ice Beam.
