Sentry Drones are well-armed and armored security mechas. They have limited intelligence, but do their assigned tasks well. Being machines, they are susceptible to electrical attacks. When alerted, Drones initiate a security lockdown, then attempt to neutralize the intruder. Their electronic warfare suit can scramble many types of electronic signals, including Visor technology.

Lock on to these and dodge their gunfire, then blast away with the Wave Beam. These guys are quick, so effective use of the side dash can be very helpful when taking them head-on.

The Sentry Drones encountered in the Phazon Mines have cloaking abilities, so be careful! The Cloaked Drone in the Central Dynamo is particularly nasty. The Wavebuster is particularly effective against the cloaked variant.

Defeating the Cloaked Drone in the Central Dynamo will allow Samus to access the maintenance ducts below the generator and acquire the Power Bomb ability.
