A powerful rock-dwelling tentacle, it appears to be part of a much larger organism. A single eye upon the Reaper Vine keeps a constant vigil, but its vision is limited to 10 meters. A scythe-like appendage on its tip is honed to lethal sharpness. The Reaper Vine will swing this blade wildly at anything that enters its zone of perception.

Reaper Vines will pop out of the walls when Samus gets near. They normally appear in narrow passages or next to small platforms, so Samus can be hit or knocked off easily if you are not careful. A single shot from any beam weapon will send them hiding - but they will pop back out again after a few seconds, so pass by quickly.

Although the Reaper Vine is reported to be "part of a much larger organism", just like the Aqua Reaper, Samus never encounters this creature.
