These Multiviola larvae are covered in flames and crawl about the burning stones. They aimlessly wander the caverns of Ridley’s Hideout, searching for prey, which they will attack and consume voraciously. If you live long enough to stare into its flames, you can see a sinister face within.

Viola are among the weakest enemies of Ridley’s Hideout and so are a relatively safe way to replenish your energy. Blue ones can be destroyed with two shots from the Normal Beam, while yellow ones can be destroyed with four.

Viola have an evil, grinning face that was made less literal in Super Metroid.
