This fiery creature leaps out of the lava to snatch anything flying overhead. They propel themselves by emitting superheated gas and use their claw-shaped fins to steer. The Squeept’s evolved eyes can see the high end of the electromagnetic spectrum, making them useful both inside the lava and without.

Pink Squeepts are invincible, but red Squeepts can be destroyed after a few hits from the Normal Beam or a single missile. However, Squeepts are often best frozen with the Ice Beam and used as platforms to reach high ledges. Wait until they leap within jumping distance before freezing.
