Communal organism that builds nests beneath the cave floor. The Gawron’s most striking feature is a ring of 10 spikes around its open maw. When an intruder draws near, the Gawron will fly out of its nest and ram the intruder at high speed, puncturing its victim and letting the fluids drain into its insatiable maw. This bizarre creature also has two arms with three-fingered claws it uses for constructing its nest and grasping prey.
Gawrons fly out of nests in the ground. Like the Yumee, there are 10 to a nest. After all 10 are killed, a rough tone will sound, indicating the nest is empty. Gawrons are good for refilling energy, as they are not very dangerous. However, it is generally not a good idea to jump over them, as they will fly up faster than Samus can jump.
The tubes snaking out from the Gawron's mouth make it resemble a cyborg.
