Giant carnivorous insectoid infesting the first Ruins Area. The Mumbo has a massive compound eye that covers nearly a third of the surface area of the front of its body. This gives the Mumbo a wide-angle view of its surroundings and detect both prey and threats in a nearly 180 degree radius. Although its wings are tiny, the Mumbo’s body is light-weight, allowing it to move about quickly and easily. Very aggressive, the Mumbo will ram its prey, grasping it with pincers and small jaws that are powerful for their size.

Flies back and forth, identical the the Yumbo, Seerook, Pincherfly, and TPO. Leaves a small Energy Ball when destroyed. Usually found in narrow shafts, so shoot them before proceeding, or if speedrunning, take the damage and perform a mid-air jump to more rapidly ascend shafts.

Any resemblance between the Bestiary art and Samus’s helmet is purely coincidental...
