Large predator that flies erratically, ramming its prey with its thick shell. These Wavers were genetically engineered to live in cold climates and will perish if the temperature increases. Once infested, the X modified these Wavers’ DNA to gain 50% thicker armor plating and increased the size of their spikes by a factor of 10. The larger size does not appear to have lowered their flight speed, and they have also gained the ability to perform a ramming attack, closing its shell completely to protect its body. However, the Waver-X’s improved armor provides a minor flaw in that if it instead strikes a wall, the Waver-X will become stuck for a few seconds until it can pry itself free. The X stopped infesting Wavers after Sector 5’s cooling system was destroyed.
