Sova-X thrive in extreme heat and continuously excrete internal gasses which they ignite over the top of their bodies. They frequently leave a trail of flaming droppings wherever they travel, and can effectively grip and crawl around a variety of surfaces due to the numerous amount tiny claws on the bottom of their legs.
Sova-X are easily killed with beam weapons, but watch out for falling droppings when they are on the ceiling.
"Sova" were mistranslated as "Nova" in the original Metroid.
