A giant flying insect that resembles a hercules beetle. Zebs create nests in the ventilation ducts in the corridors of Brinstar and will attack when they sense danger. They fly up out of these pipes one at a time, and then towards Samus when they notice her elevation level.
Can be easily killed with normal beams or missiles. Use multiple Zeb pipes to refill your energy and missiles quickly.
The pipes they fly out of may resemble those from Super Mario Bros., but aren't used to take Samus to different places.
