Lightbringers were created by the Luminoth for use in their war with the Ing. The crystalline creature generates a field of life-giving energy at all times, and they can be energized like a Safe Zone Crystal. They are immune to most weapon fire: only a burst of matter-antimatter can destroy them.

Lightbringers are a non-aggressive and non-damaging mechanoid that project a healing energy field around themselves. They move back and forth along a pre-determined path, carrying this field with them. They can be used as a mobile safe zone, protecting and healing Samus over a larger area than a stationary Light Crystal. Though they disappear before Samus obtains any weapons that can destroy or alter them, it is suggested by their scan data that different weapons may have had different effects on them.

Lightbringers are only encountered once, at which time Samus does not possess any weapons to affect them, either negatively or positively. However, it is suggested in their scan data that they would have been destroyed by the Annihilator Beam as well as energized by the Light Beam. If their morphology mirrors that of typical Light Crystals, it is also possible that their energy field could have been de-energized by the Dark Beam.

As these artificial creatures are harmless and beneficial to Samus, it is unnecessary to terminate them. It is advised to observe and follow their movement patterns in order to minimize damage taken from Dark Aether’s atmosphere.

Lightbringers can only be found in the Duelling Range in the Dark Agon Wastes. There are only two in this room, and both disappear after Samus defeats the Jump Guardian and obtains the Space Jump Boots.
