Scans indicate that this bioform is an infant, but aging rapidly. The creature can ensnare targets with its tongue, drawing them into its mouth. It then covers its prey with acidic globs of biomatter to break it down for digestion. This is an exceptional bioform with both a dark and light nature.

After you shoot the 4 supports holding the cocoon on the wall, the Chykka larva breaks out and the battle begins. The Chykka larva will swim in a circle around the platform that you stand on. Use this as an opportunity to scan the boss. While it swims around, Dark Shredders will also jump out of the water and try to touch you, but use these as a way to replenish your ammo and health by shooting them with your normal beam. Don't forget to scan the Dark Shredders too.

The Larva will breach, meaning it will dive into the water, letting you know it's about to jump back out and then jump out and spin around, making a big splash. Use your double jump to avoid the wake that goes over top the entire platform. While the Larva is spinning in mid-air, you need to aim and shoot at the light blue spot on its underbelly.

After taking a few hits from its breaching phase, the larva will jump out and hang on the edge of the platform, trying to snag you with its tongue and drag you in. Use this opportunity to make some well-placed, charged, Light Beam Shots to its head. It will be pushed back into the water. When this happens, use a Super Missile and attack its weak point on its lower belly. This will deal massive damage. Repeat until Chykka is weakened enough and morphs into its second, imago form.
