In a newly released ad, Nintendo uses Metroid Dread gameplay to reveal their new OLED Switch model. While this isn’t the rumored “Switch Pro” that most have been expecting, this new model offers a 7-inch OLED screen, a sturdy adjustable stand (for better viewing-angles in tabletop mode), a dock with a wired LAN port, 64 GB of internal storage, and better speakers for enhanced audio for a MSRP of $349.99.

We just can’t help but feel that this new OLED Switch is meant to evoke the design of the E.M.M.I.

It’s also nice to see Nintendo continue to push Metroid Dread in their ads and on their website news for their new OLED Switch.

From Nintendo’s official news feed:

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) launches on Oct. 8, the same day as the Metroid Dread game, the next entry in the 2D Metroid saga that kicked off with the original Metroid on NES. With the vibrant OLED screen and enhanced audio, embarking on the latest adventure of intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran in Metroid Dread while playing in handheld or tabletop mode will feel even more immersive.

Both Metroid Dread and this new OLED Switch will Launch on October 8th 2021.
