MID-AIR JUMP

Very similar to the Mid-Air Jump I found in Metroid, but it works a little differently. The difference between this one and the original is that here, you must jump IMMEDIATELY after pressing up, whereas in Metroid I, Samus is in a standing position when you press up from a ball and remains there until another button is pressed. In Metroid II, Samus is able to jump from a kneeling position, which seems to be what she is in for just a split second when UP is pressed while in a ball.

  1. Roll into a ball
  2. Roll off the edge of a platform
  3. While in the air, press UP and IMMEDIATELY press the Jump button
  4. Samus will jump from her position in midair.

ANOTHER METHOD...

  1. When you have the Spring Ball, roll into a ball and jump into the air
  2. Press UP and IMMEDIATELY press Jump
  3. Samus will jump from her spot in the air.

INTRODUCTION TO THE SECRET WORLDS

Many gamers know about the so-called "Secret Worlds" that can be found in the original Metroid for the NES. Believe it or not, there are also hidden glitch areas to be found in Metroid II! To access them, Samus must roll through walls by rapidly hitting the SELECT button. Much more information on the secret worlds in Metroid II can be found on the website The Metroid II Secret Worlds.
