Metroid Prime's 10th Anniversary! Bestiary Section Unlocked!

Many of you are probably aware that today was the official launch day of the WiiU. We will be preparing a deep analysis of Nintendo Land's Metroid Blast in the coming weeks, so look forward to that! What you might not have known is exactly one decade ago today, two amazing Metroid games were released in North America: Metroid Prime for the Nintendo GameCube, and Metroid Fusion for the GameBoy Advance. Both games were certainly received with mixed opinions at first, but were eventually embraced by both the Metroid community and the gaming world at large. Metroid Prime went on to receive numerous awards, and essentially put Retro Studios on the map as being one of the highest quality game development studios in North America. We at the Metroid Database tip our hats to all those hard-working men and women who sacrificed years of their lives for our metallic, helmet-clad warrior, and we have much to celebrate. As detailed in our latest Wave Beam Podcast, today we are also unveiling the Metroid Prime section in the Bestiary! The artists have been working non-stop delivering high-quality art for your consumption. We hope everyone realy appreciates all the work we've been putting into the MDb Bestiary thus far; it's still one of the most unique things you can find among game fansites. Let us know! Go to the official thread and tell us how much you care.

Here are a few tastes of what to expect in the Prime section. We are launching with a whopping 25 brand new entries. Be sure to check all of them out, they're definitely some of our best entries yet! We do plan on filling out the section with the entire Prime Logbook eventually, so keep checking back for that. HUUUUUGE thanks to all the awesome artists who have participated in this project! It really would be absolutely NOWHERE without you guys and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You should all be very proud of yourselves.
