Adam Maiolo of Penguins Marathons contacted us to let us know that they will be hosting a Metroid Marathon on this Friday, June 1st, starting at 7:00PM EST. The marathon will go on until they complete all 11 Metroid games. The group consists of 8 men, all dedicated to raising money for Big Brothers Big Sisters St. Catharines - Thorold & District, a Canadian-based non-profit charity.

The group promises to stream the entire event live from their site, as well as some fun and entertainment, (including prizes) for the viewers when goals are reached. Their current end goal is $4000.
