There is a YouTuber who goes by The Gaming Brit Show who does video game reviews. He's kinda like a layman's version of Yahtzee - less emphasis on blatant cynicism and humor, and more emphasis on worthwhile game critique. Last year, The Gaming Brit put up a nearly half-hour video called "Metroid Other M (why it SUCKS)" which you can watch below. Now, before you watch, you should probably realize that the video is NSFW, as it contains some cursing, but also that a lot of it may come across as overly-biased venting and rage-writing (he even admits it within the first minute). He also rarely acknowledges any counter-points - the ones he does acknowledge he quickly shoots down. There also seems to be an absence of any experiential knowledge of the game development process itself, and mainly focuses on the game's story woes. Still, it's one of the better breakdowns of Other M I've found on the web.

Just last month, The Gaming Brit placed up an "epilogue" piece for Other M. This one is half as long as the one above, and mostly focuses on why the Prime series is leaps and bounds better than Other M in a lot of ways. Again, the same warnings above apply to this one.

If you can watch only one, definitely watch the second. I don't agree with him 100%, but he does bring up a lot of valid points and justifies them with real video comparisons. It's not just a rant-fest. Check 'em out if you have some time - it may help heal the hole in your heart that was left there by Other M.
